the little things



life isn't easy.

I often get so overwhelmed and forget that there are people going through so much more than I could ever comprehend.

My heart has been so heavy lately.
All the sadness and hurt in the world sometimes just catches up to me.


I had a girl call the boutique the other day to ask about a dress.
It was for her mom's memorial service.

I didn't have one single complaint for the rest of the day.
My heart aches for her and her sweet dad who came in and picked it up for her.

that being said, I HAVE to find the silver lining in Everyday.

I HAVE to find the little things to enjoy, there is more good than bad in the world.

I can't focus on all the wrong.

Vanessa got me this cute phone case, awesome reminder!


PLT had our first Private Shopping Party.
Fun time with shopping, wine, and cupcakes.
sometimes it blows my mind that this is my job.

oh and Target of course.

 

I pass these flowers on my morning walks, love them.

 

 

Sushi & Sake makes almost everything better,

or at least the good company.

So basically Liana & I are pretty cool girls and we really like sports.

 



 

 

 

We decided to do a

Houston Sports Tour.

 

 

We have went to an Astro's game, a Texan's game, and a couple weeks ago we went to a Rocket's game.

 

We still have hockey, soccer, and maybe some UH games.

 I finished my second 5K!

and by finishing... I actually ran the WHOLE thing,
more like a jog, but I'm pretty proud.

home girl used to not be able to even do 1 mile.
(but by no means am I an athlete)

 

 but to push myself, I like to do these "fun runs"!
 



 

Mary & I signed up for this one forever ago.

We were supposed to wear white:

and then...

 

about every half mile they just had people squirting different colored neon slime on you.

like Nickelodeon slime.

 

it felt so gross, but looked really cool under their black lights.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 and afterwards we celebrated with some beverages & tex-mex!

 

 

 

such a fun time, special thanks to Mary for being so inspirational in running
(y'all she runs half marathons in Austin every year)
and to her hubby Keith for driving us all around that night!

well it was Rodeo time in Houston!

I went twice this year  

 

 



once with my mom & her pals.

turned out to be such a dramatic night-funny stories, but for the sake of those sweet ladies-
I cannot got into detail lol

 

 

 the second time I went with a few of my friends:
 

We took bus & so of course we ate and drank on the way there.
I think I would like having a driver 24/7 lol

vegas

last week I went to Vegas to go to MAGIC.

It is the biggest market in the country and it was awesome.

lots and lots of stuff for PLT coming in the next few months, really looking forward to  getting it all in.

 

 

 

 Day 1:
airport. improv.nathan's hot dogs. mirror pics.

 

 Day 2:
waking up in vegas. spa day.gambling. dinner @ tom colicchio's craftsteak.

 Day 3:
magic market. cirque du soleil. nyny. dinner.

Day4:
more shopping. carnegie deli cheesecake. airport beers. mgm grand.

so last Thursday night I went to the Lady Gaga Concert!

(my heavy eye make up & squinty eyes make me look extra asian)

Holly, Liana, Me, & Blair all went

(we were reppin PLT well that night too!)

 

 I LOVE them all so very much- they make fun of me and love me and it's the perfect friendship!

I asked the guys behind us to take our picture, they were the sweetest guys ever!

 

me: "hey can you take our picture please?!"

blonde guy: "oh yeah of course" (his bf grabs my phone and takes the pic)

blonde guy: "look at her skirt, it is so cute! and I love the pattern!"

me: "thanks!"

blonde guy: "and look we are BOTH wearing PINK! TWINSIES!"

me: "yay?!?" lol

blondie: "yall are all just so gorgeous!"

 

 

and then I wanted my picture with them...

(I know... I look so hot)

 

 

but I was really flattered!

1. bc it is always nice to know the gays think you got it together in the clothes department.

2. bc they were clothes from PLT!

 

 

and then holly went to go find beer, so we had a photoshoot waiting for gaga

 

 

... and then!!!

 

the stage was READY & we were ALL SO EXCITED

 

 

and then we were officially creeped out, weirded out, etc.

 

we KNEW it was going to be weird and all, but we had no idea how dark is was going to be.
I can handle weird all day, but creepy, demonic stuff is not my thing though.
it was so heavy.

like tons of biblical references and it just never really got happy.
she talked about being free to be yourself and blah blah, but I felt like I was watching hell.

true story.

 

so we def had a good time, and we all decided we could mark that off our bucket list.
and never go back.

poor gaga, I feel like I have defended her weirdness so much.
but y'all...

she's weird.

before I can blog to you about the craziness of the Lady Gaga concert last night, I have to catch you up on my Dallas trip last weekend!

We went to Dallas for market, it is always a good time, but I think this trip was my favorite!

 

the only thing that was awful was the weather!
It was so pretty @ home and then SO COLD in Dallas.
(yeah 52 is too cold)

 

We got some really cute summer stuff!
can't wait for it to come in:
 

market closes kind of early & I don't usually fall asleep until at least 11-11:30 (usually later)
so we had some time to kill before dinner & I went to the hotel gym, I was pretty proud.
I need to get back into running SO BAD. or I am going to fail at my 5K next month.

(don't judge... I was in a corner of the gym surronded by MIRRORS! so annoying, but pretty motivational seeing yourself trying to run lol)

Sunday we went to market in the am, but stayed in Dallas to go to a Maverick's game that night!
 

(our seats were even better than this. we were in the wrong section for half the game...)

such a good time & the Mavs WON!

oh yes... we saw MARK CUBAN!
 

I sort of have a thing for Mark Cuban.
 I know, he is older than my dad...
